The Patchwork Girl of Oz

1914

"The Most Wonderful Motion Picture Ever Produced"

Plot

In the magical land of Oz, young Ojo and his Uncle Unc Nunkie face starvation in their remote cottage, prompting them to journey to the Emerald City where they believe no one ever goes hungry. Along their path, they encounter Mewel, a talking mule who leads them to the isolated home of Dr. Pipt, a magician who has been stirring his Powder of Life for nine years. When Dr. Pipt's wife Margolotte creates a Patchwork Girl servant, Ojo secretly adds extra brains to the creation before it's brought to life with the magical powder. The newly animated Patchwork Girl, named Scraps, accidentally knocks over the Liquid of Petrifaction, turning Unc Nunkie, Margolotte, and Danx (Jesseva's boyfriend) into marble statues. The group must then separate on individual quests to find the rare ingredients needed for the antidote, facing numerous adventures and meeting various Oz characters throughout their perilous journey across the magical land.
